Thanks to her discipline, initiative and the obvious pleasure she always took in her work, the young trainee "Fräulein Elke" made it to the top of the Perfumeries division and – as the employee representative – all the way to the DOUGLAS HOLDING AG Supervisory Board. Ever considerate, cheerful and trustworthy, she fostered numerous employees along her way, often inspiring them to better things. Having celebrated her golden jubilee with the company on October 1, 2007, Elke Vahldiek can look back on a career that is proud testimony to the pillars of the DOUGLAS Group's success: friendly, highly motivated and well-trained employees who thoroughly enjoy their work and personify the pledge "Excellence in Retailing." That is why ensuring job satisfaction and training young talents have become key focuses of the DOUGLAS Group's human resource work.
